Snow Trip - January 18-19

Last year on Martin Luther King day we went up to Long Barn to play in the snow and get away for a night. We decided to continue the tradition this year. We ended up going to Pinecrest instead of Long Barn this time. It was snowing a lot on the days we were there. One of our chains broke so it was quite an adventure. We're glad we were able to safely travel to and from Pinecrest.
The snow was absolutely gorgeous. We loved playing in it until we got too cold. It was great that we had a room to warm up in. We love to visit the snow, but are glad we don't live in it. This is what our van looked like in the morning. I think our Martin Luther King Day snow trips are becoming a tradition. They are snow much fun!

Girls' Weekend

In January I was feeling pretty burned out. Lloyd suggested I go stay for a night at a hotel to just relax and have some time to myself. I decided I would feel pretty silly going to a hotel all by myself so I brought Courtney and Katelyn along. We had a great time. We saw the movie "Leap Year," went out to eat at Mimi's Cafe, we read, watched TV, and slept in. It was a special time for all three of us.

Give a Day, Get a Disney Day

On January 16 Bryce, Lloyd, Courtney, Katelyn, Kylie, and I all volunteered at a Rose Garden in San Jose as part of Disney's "Give a Day, Get a Day." My entire family volunteered at different service opportunities so we can all go to Disneyland in June.

There were hundred of volunteers at the Rose Garden. It was a beautiful day! We pulled a few weeds and covered the rose beds with fertilizer. We all agreed it was fun to serve. We would have done it even if we hadn't gotten the free Disney tickets. We'll have to go back to the Rose Garden in the spring to see the fruits of our labors.

Conner Is Three!

Sadly, my baby turned three on January 9, 2010. Yes, he's a big boy now and I'm pretty sad about it. He loved his "Happy Birthday." He turned three and had three different parties to celebrate. The first one was at Burger King with all his little friends from church. The kids loved playing and eating their kids meals. It was the easiest party ever!
His second party was a family party at Chuck E. Cheese's. He loves this place. We all had a great time!We took him out for ice cream after Chuck E. Cheese's. It was so adorable when Conner wiped Cameron's messy face with a napkin.

Conner was a lucky boy. He got a new wagon and Diego bike.

His third party was at Grandma's and Grandpa's. Grandpa got him a cake and gave him a construction set.
I know I am his mom, but I have to admit Conner is one of the cutest and sweetest little boys. He talks a lot and he says the funniest things. We all love and adore him so much! Happy Birthday, Bubba!

New Years 2010

For New Year's Eve, the whole gang came to our house for a fun, family party. On New Year's Day we took the kids to Del Osso's Holiday on the Farm. They had fun jumping on the pillow jumpers, playing in some "snow," going on the train, and racing bikes. It was a fun day to be with our cousins! I loved seeing my sister!
