Our Home Has a New Look

As I mentioned in some earlier posts, we had the entire inside of our home painted. No, we didn't do it ourselves, but it was still a lot of work. We are so glad we did it. It feels like we have a new home now. We should have done it a long time ago! The guy who painted our home did a fantastic job. He was very helpful about recommending different colors. He believes you should paint with varying shades of different colors to add contrast and dimension. The entry way was painted with a medium blue. The kitchen was painted with lighter and darker shades of the same blue.

In the living room we painted two walls a medium beige and one wall the same dark blue as the kitchen.

The downstairs bathroom is a brown beige.

Our bedroom is two shades of sage green.

The girls had their room painted lavender. It's a little tricky because they have this hot pink bunk bed that was given to us. Their bedding is purple and pink so it kind of ties things together.

The kids' bathroom was painted a powdery blue. We changed the decor from colorful daisies to safari animals. Since it took me almost seven years to redecorate, we figured the boys might not be too excited about a flower bathroom for the next seven years.

We're glad we could make a few minor changes to our home. I was amazed at some of the stuff we had hanging on our walls. It's great to have a fresh look!

Paint can make a HUGE difference. It looks great. We always paint ourselves and I would say our job is not nearly as professional and picking out all the colors is crazy!

Your home looks awesome! I especially like the entry way and the green used in your room.
BTW - we have the same jungle theme for the kids bath. We got the lion rug also. So cute!
