Poipu Beach

On Wednesday we all went to Poipu Beach on the south shore of Kauai. It was a great beach with grass, picnic tables, a playground, and a mild swim area for the kids. We all enjoyed being together as a family. With Karen and Brad living in Arizona, it's a rare time when we're all together.
Four little cousins - Ethan, Cayden, Conner, and Cameron

The littlest boy cousins --Dylan and Conner

Courtney and Katelyn loved playing in the ocean and boogie boarding.

Brad's family

Baby Addie and Chareen

Uncle Bryce and Cameron tried to dig to China. They did find this cute, little crab when they were digging!
Grandma and Grandpa even got into boogie boarding! If you wore goggles and looked down, you could see lots of fish. It helped us prepare for the snorkeling that was to come.

Lloyd and I slipped away for a few minutes of boogie boarding together. However, the waves make it hard to stay together. You just have to float wherever they take you. I loved seeing all the varieties of fish!
We all ended up leaving the beach in a rush because it started pouring down rain. After our day at the beach, we went and got a Shave Ice which is a must when you're in Hawaii. You can choose to have your shave ice with ice cream and a snow cap (condensed milk) on top, plus up to three flavors of syrup. Very yummy!

Kristi,
Great blogging again. It is so fun to read about our adventures. Those are great pictures of such cute Grandkids. I love thinking about all the fun we had in Kauai. It is a beautiful place. I guess we will just have to plan another fun family trip. I will be looking forward to the next chapter about the Hawaiian vacation.
Love you, Mom
